*Bike in the vast network of well marked and maintained recreational trails that surround Rossland. Trails are well marked and rated for difficulty.

The Seven Summits Trail, a "must do" is one of 32 trails in the world to receive EPIC status from the International Mountain Bike Association. The trail follows the alpine ridges of the Rossland range for 31 km of scenic hiking & mountain biking.

*Hike Through the efforts of the Kootenay Columbia Trails Society, there is an incredible variety of hiking and mountain biking trails to choose from, whatever the distance or difficulty. A detailed map is widely available in town and from the enthusastic staff at the Ram's Head Inn

*Golf one of the 6 courses which are all within a 90 minute drive, Rossland is a great starting location for your next golf vacation. Check out kootenay-golf.ca for more information.

*Swim our alpine lake at Nancy green provincial park, 15 min from the Ram's Head Inn, or refresh yourself at our community out-door pool.

*Fish in the many lakes, rivers and creeks for trout, rainbows, dolly varden, walleye and more. Try fly-fishing, trolling or ice fishing.

*Other Activities
Visit the registered historical Mining Museum. Your visit to the Rossland Museum will not be complete without a guided walking tour into a restored section of the historic underground workings of the once famous Le Roi gold mine.

Attend the Gold Fever Follies - a musical theatre based on Rossland's early mining history with original script, music and songs. Fun for the whole family. Tuesday's through Saturdays until August 27, 3pm matinee and 7:30pm evening performances.

Take a self-guided Walking Tour of Rossland's heritage buildings, among them the Miner's Hall (1898), the only Miner's Union Hall existing in Canada, the Bank of Montreal designed by Francis Rattenbury, and the Rossland Courthouse (1901), which characterizes late Victorian architecture with its symmetrical corner towers, highly pitched roof and almost fortress-like appearance.

"The Biggest Little Film Fest in Canada" AKA: The Rossland Mountain Film Festival is a four-day event in November that takes place in Canada's Alpine City - Rossland BC. The focus of the event is on local talent. Filmmakers, artists and new media workers showcase their creations to a Kootenay regional audience.
