*Rossland in located in the south central Mountains of B.C. and here you will find some of the worlds finest powder skiing. Red Mountain is located 2.5 km from the heart of Rossland and the lifts are visible from the breakfast room of the Ram's Head Inn. Red Mountain ski area offers 1200 acres on 360 degrees of mountain, and 2900 vertical feet. A truly unique skiing experience unlike that available anywhere else.

*Enjoy the Blackjack cross country ski network. Over 40 km of groomed trails, one starting just outside our doorstep.

*1 1/4 hour drive to Whitewater ski area renowned for huge snowfalls. Average of 50 ft.

* Back Country Touring beyond compare. Once at the top of Granite Mountain you can skin up to the top of any of four different peaks in the space of an hour.

* Snowmobiling. Enjoy an evening dinner tour to the top of Granite mountain, or explore some of the best terrain available in British Columbia. Beginner to expert.

*Ice skating on the main street outdoor rink or curling in the arena

*Take a guided back country tour, womens only ski clinic or an avalanche awareness course.

*Celebrate winter with the festivities of Rossland Winter Carnival each January.
